Hello and welcome to today's post. I can't believe we're in September already. How does school look like for all of you now? Last week I introduced you to my protagonist Aria Accra, today we're going to have a look at some of the supporting characters in the novel.
Firstly, there's Aria's bodyguard who's been with her for ten years since the start of the novel, David Sorro. Since they've spent so much time together, they're more like brother and sister, than protector and client. Actually, I based David on what I wanted in an older brother; cool, funny and, very protective. He also has very strong views on hot chocolate.
Next there's Aria's mother Queen Beartrice whose husband has just died. She hasn't seen Aria in ten years, because she thought it would be dangerous, if Aria's location was revealed. She's an elegant and intelligent woman, who reigns after the king's death but we come to realize that she's got a couple of secrets up her sleeve.
Finally, there is Prince Lucky Accra, Aria's uncle and her rival to the throne. He assumed he would be next in line for the throne after his brother failed to produce a male child, however the law changed and the first born child of any gender could inherit, meaning he is now second in line after Aria. Due to his charisma, intelligence and political standing, there are some in Xavia who would rather see him on the throne leading to the rebellion. He keeps his cards close to his chest and is a man of mystery.
So these are some of the supporting characters in "To Catch a Rebel". Is there anything else you'd like to know about them or the novel? Leave you answers in the comment section.
I hope to write to you soon and enjoy the rest of the week.
